Blanco
The town of Blanco is located right along the Blanco River and has just under 2,000 residents. Round Mountain is a very small town of only around 100 people situated 11 miles north of Johnson City. Hye
Hye is an unincorporated rural community located 13 miles west of Johnson City. Hye has a population of only around 100 residents but it does contain the historic Hye Market which dates back to the late 1800s. Hye is also home to Garrison Brothers Distillery, Texas's first legal bourbon distillery.
Albert
Albert is a ghost town in northwest Blanco County that was established in the mid-1850s by German settlers. At its peak Albert had a population of over 100 with a post office, stores, and farms. Today there are just a few crumbling structures left from this old frontier town.
