New Haven County is a county located in the U.S. state of Connecticut. As of the 2010 census, the population was 862,477 and a population density of 386 people per km². After 10 years in 2020 county had an estimated population of 851,948 inhabitants. Its county seat is New Haven. The county was created 358 years ago in 1665.

New Haven County is located in the south-central part of Connecticut along Long Island Sound. With a population of over 860,000 as of 2020, it is the state's second most populous county.

The county covers about 600 square miles. Its county seat and largest city is New Haven, home to Yale University.
