Harrison County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 65,631 and a population density of 28 people per km². After 10 years in 2020 county had an estimated population of 66,386 inhabitants. Its county seat is Marshall. The county was created 182 years ago in 1841.

Harrison County is located in northeastern Texas bordering Louisiana. It was established in 1839 and named for Jonas Harrison, a lawyer and soldier in the Texas Revolution.

The city of Marshall became the county seat in 1842. Marshall was one of the earliest towns founded in eastern Texas. By the 1850s, it was a major commercial hub for the surrounding area.
