Grady County is located in central Oklahoma and was established at statehood in 1907. The county was named for Henry W. Grady, an editor and orator from Georgia. Here are some of the notable cities and towns in Grady County:

Chickasha

Chickasha is the largest city and county seat of Grady County. It lies along the Washita River and was founded by the Rock Island Railroad in 1892. Some points of interest include the Grady County Museum, Shannon Springs Park, and the Chickasha Festival of Light.

Tuttle

Tuttle is a small city located north of Chickasha along SH-4. The economy is based around agriculture and the city has several historic buildings like the Opal House Museum and the old bridge over Wild Horse Creek.

Amber

Amber is a very small rural farming community established in 1903. It lies near the Canadian River and is home to the Amber-Pocasset High School and the historic W.H. Darrough Chapel.

Rush Springs
