Tioga County is an area in northwestern Pennsylvania. It was founded on March 26, 1804, from parts of Lycoming County and organized in 1812. The name "Tioga" comes from the Iroquois word teo-geh, meaning "where the current flows", which was the name of a village located on the Tioga River.

This county is home to the beautiful Susquehanna River, which runs through the state and eventually empties into the Chesapeake Bay. It's also got some of the most gorgeous scenery in all of Pennsylvania! And if you're looking for something a little more urban, there are plenty of cities nearby that will keep your days full.

The county seat is Wellsboro, but other important cities include Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and Tioga Point.

Tioga County has a population of about 41,000 people as of 2020, with an unemployment rate at 5.4%.

One thing we love about Tioga County is its diversity. We have a great mix of different cultures here—and that makes us feel like we can truly be ourselves without worrying about being judged for our differences. People here are kind and friendly, and they'll treat you with respect no matter who you are or where you come from.

What else? Well... we've got lots of great restaurants, amazing shopping malls (including one right near us!), beautiful parks and trails where you can hike or bike... and let's not forget that Wellsboro University is located right here in our backyard!
