Bartlesville is a city in Oklahoma, United States. It is part of the Tulsa Metropolitan Area. The population was 36,495 at the 2010 census, an increase of 12.5 percent from 31,711 at the 2000 census. The elevation is 215 m above sea level (asl). The area code is 918 and the unemployment rate is 3.2%.
Bartlesville is the county seat of Washington County, and is located 18 miles south of the Kansas border and 47 miles north of Tulsa, on Interstate 44. It is also home to several large manufacturing plants including: Michelin North America's headquarters; the Bartlesville Community Hospital; Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica; BancFirst; and many smaller companies including Bell Helicopter Textron and Liberty Tire Recycling.
The Caney River runs through Bartlesville.
