Flower Mound is a town located in the county of Denton in the U.S. state of Texas. Its population at the 2010 census was 64,669 and a population density of 562 people per km². After 10 years in 2020 city had an estimated population of 81,482 inhabitants.
Flower Mound is a town in Denton and Tarrant counties in the U.S. state of Texas. Located northwest of Dallas and northeast of Fort Worth adjacent to Grapevine Lake, the town derives its name from a prominent 12.5-acre mound located in the center of town. Flower Mound was named one of America's best places to live by Money magazine in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019. In 2010, CNNMoney.com ranked Flower Mound as #2 on its list of "Top 100 Places to Live" for cities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000 residents.
The population was estimated at 78,854 people in 2020. It is the second largest city in Denton County after Denton.
The city is home to the headquarters of several corporations including Carfax, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, GameStop, Jamba Juice, Medtronic, Pizza Hut and Toyota Motor Sales USA. Forbes ranked Flower Mound #4 on its list of fastest growing suburbs for 2015.
